7 beds 10 baths 9,900 sqft
“The O.C.” star Mischa Barton spent years trying to sell her Beverly Hills home, which also became the center of a 2015 lawsuit against her estranged mother, Nuala.
Barton finally sold the home last year for $7 million to an entity linked to Agoura Hills-based investment firm Strategic Acquisitions Inc., property records show, but it’s now back on the market with an asking price of $15 million.
The 9,900-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
The European villa-style home was recently renovated and has dual steam rooms in the master bedroom, a theatre, two separate guesthouses, and an automobile turn table. It also has an outdoor lap pool and covered loggia.
Joshua and Matthew Altman of Douglas Elliman have the listing.
Barton first listed the estate in 2010 with an asking price of $8.6 million. It was on and off the market for the next six years before Strategic finally bought it in June 2016.
The private villa became the focal point of a lawsuit filed by Barton against her mother, who was also her former manager. Barton accused her mom of defrauding her by stealing money and adding herself as a co-owner to the property without Barton’s knowledge or permission, as well as taking out loans against the house behind her back. The case was dismissed in February 2016.
